Beware the Pharmaceutical-Industrial Complex: the Remdesivir vs HCQ Scam

There has been a systematic and worldwide effort to diminish or even demonize the use of Hydroxychloroquine to treat Covid-19 and promote Remdesivir instead, when all the scientific evidence points to very high efficacy of HCQ (plus Azithromycin and zinc sulfate) and just slight to moderate benefits for Gilead's Remdesivir.

I. The Case for HCQ ++

A collection of studies on HCQ is found at c19study.com. I highly recommend that you scroll down the list of over 92 studies around the world that mostly show good to outstanding benefits using HCQ alone or with Azithromycin and/or Zinc.

The evidence is overwhelming. Trump was right all along. Trump often speculates but is often proven correct. I think that's why the entire world works against him by lying or otherwise trying to prove him wrong.

Countries Using HCQ++ Show Remarkably Lower Death Rates

So, we see that nearly every study shows benefit for HCQ++, but the WHO advised against the use of HCQ in May 2020 based on ONE OF THE FEW STUDIES THAT SHOWED NEGLIGIBLE HCQ RESULTS by  Lancet. (you can find that study at Covid19.com).  But that Lancet study was panned by pathologists and it was later retracted due to obvious inaccuracies. In fact, it's the ONLY study that was retracted and can be found in the Covid19.com list on the 5/22 date.

The National Institute of Health (NIH) also discontinued it's study of HCQ use in late stage Covid case citing no observable benefits. This discontinuation made headlines but no study was ever published. That information is found on Covid19.com on "6/19, Negative, NIH."  Why no published results??

Something doesn't smell right at all. It smells fishy. It's as if the Pharmacuetical-Industrial complex wants to sell a high priced option to make $Billions by pooh-poohing the highly effectual and dirt cheap option??  Ya think??

Remember, HCQ has been around treating malaria for some 70 years and it's proven safe for use.  A course of treatment using HCQ++ is about $30 vs. $3200 for Remdesivir or $520 per dose.

II. The Case for Remdesivir

The Chinese abandoned Remdesivir in an April 2020 study using a fairly small sample of patients. Randomized placebo controlled study of Remdesivir in Covid19 finds NO clinical benefit of adding the drug.

CNBC says on June 1, 2020 that one study shows some benefit at 5 weeks, but no statistically significant benefit at 10 weeks:

"The trial compared patients on either a five-day or 10-day course of remdesivir plus standard care versus standard care alone. The patients had a “moderate” form of Covid-19, meaning they were hospitalized but did not require a ventilator. Patients on a five-day course were 65% more likely to have clinical improvement at day 11 versus standard of care, according to Gilead.

The odds of improvement in clinical status with the 10-day treatment course of remdesivir versus standard of care were also favorable, but not statistically significant, the company said."

CNBC says on July 10, 2020 showed some improvement in mortality rates using Remdesivir

The findings show that 7.6% of patients treated with remdesivir died compared with 12.5% of patients in the analysis who did not receive remdesivir treatment. The analysis also found that 74.4% of patients who received treatment with remdesivir recovered by day 14 compared with 59% of patients who received standard care alone.

From a Seeking Alpha article: "In the large and most important study so far conducted by the U.S. National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, 7.1% of hospitalized patients on Remdesivir died. That compared favorably with 11.9% of patients on a placebo."

All in all, Remdesivir is hardly a silver bullet, but it's more like a rubber bullet but priced as if it were a platinum bullet.

III. The Results

Even after only small improvements in mortality and hospital stays, Dr. Fauci and the FDA immediately made Remdesivir the "standard of care" on April 29th ignoring the large number (92 studies) of exceedingly positive HCQ results and it's very low cost. The "standard of care" announcement guarantees the expensive Remdesivir is used first across the nation.  The US government was immediately obligated to buy that drug at $3200 for a course of treatment.

It's almost as if Dr. Fauci, the FDA and the National Institute of Health were all influenced by big moneyed lobbyists or big-moneyed Pharmaceutical companies?  Also, maybe they were influenced by the prospect of under-the-table kickbacks, plus rocketing Gilead share prices to benefit all those people with Gilead shares to allow Gilead to make $Billions???   Who would have thunk it??

If this is me, and I am me, and I end up getting this thing, I am going to want Zinc plus Hydroxychloroquine plus Azithromycin. I would want that treatment.” — Chris Martenson, PhD"

Ladies and gentlemen, this is a classic case of corruption, the influence of the pharmaceutical-industrial complex on the government and non-government organizations. The result is the needless death of thousands, if not hundreds of thousands of people worldwide who suffered from the Covid-19 virus and could have received the safe and readily available HCQ++.  And for what? For corruption, money, stupidity and to spite Trump (Trump derangement syndrome).

Smithsonian: The Problems of Whiteness (The Real Problem is Blackness)

Check out the astonishing graphic below, describing the apparent "problems with whiteness." It's from the National Museum of African American History and Culture, a part of the Smithsonian Institute in D.C.

According to Smithsonian, aspects of "whiteness" includes individualism, hard work, objectivity, the nuclear family, progress, and respect for authority and delayed gratification. (Oh, the horrors!!) Also, the primacy of Western (Greek, Roman) and Judeo-Christian tradition are apparently signs of an ominous "whiteness." ”Holidays are “based on Christian religions" (I guess Kwanzaa and voodoo are preferable?)

Let's talk about the real problems of Blackness. Well we can start with CHAZ for recent inspiration about "blackness" and the reality of black "culture." Led by Solomon Simone, a Muslim-inspired black separatist, he wanted to create his version of black cultural utopia in a 6 block area in downtown Seattle. Virtually overnight, thuggery, theft (not work), shootings, murder, violence, property crime, disorder and chaos, idiocy took over. Within a week, CHAZ was disbanded as killings and thuggery exploded and threats were made to occupy Seattle mayor's opulent $7 million mansion where she lived with her Lesbian wife. (God help us all.)

Outside of CHAZ, add derelict fathers, exploding STDs and low life expectancy to the list. Blackness is really an "un-culture" like ISIS or the Taliban. South Africa is descending into madness and chaos under black rule and they are now committing genocide against white persons there. This is BLACKNESS.

Just like in Africa today, the CHAZ idiots claimed to be autonomous, but blacks are rarely able to build any high level civilization that one would find in Seattle. The CHAZ idiots would not be able to:

• generate and distribute reliable electric power, 
• build a potable water systems, 
• organize agriculture and food manufacturing, storage and distribution
• engineer sewage collection and treatment plants, 
• engineer durable roads, telephone lines and systems, cable TV systems
• build and maintain high levels of housing, 
• build any or organize any kind of stable local governance or rule of law

Blackness is un-culture. Black music in the US shows a horrifying lack of culture and even music!, In Africa, one can't drink the water (if there IS any water) and people shit on the streets in Senegal. These people only ruin everything. In Africa or in any majority black country, nothing works. There is no black culture, it's just endless chaos: slums, disorder, gangs, thuggery, drug dealing, violence, stupidity, murder and shaming the responsible blacks as "uncle toms" or too "white." I will never forget the time I saw Whitney Houston appear on Soul Train after the success of her movie "The Bodyguard" and hit singles, and she was booed by a fairly large portion of the audience!  She be too white!  BLACKNESS is the real problem, not whiteness. It's just pure chaos and un-culture.

Despite overwhelming evidence that they can't take care of themselves, there remains a large minority of black people in America who want to create a separate and black "culture." Blacks live in a subsidized state of "custodial care" in America, courtesy of our dwindling white culture.  Maybe the US government should just withdraw all of the various welfare and income support programs, since they are so "equal?"

There's literally no hope for many (most?) African Americans in this country. They really want a different culture that is completely outside US history and heritage. But their idea of culture is actually "un-culture." It's really just madness with chaos. It is totally irreconcilable.  This country should seriously consider programs to relocate any/all of the disaffected blacks along with their "whiteness" consultants to Africa on a permanent basis: one-way tickets and revoking US Passports. No coming back.

There's a long history of separatists in black history, even after the US fixed "segregation" and pretty horrific discrimination. Now, after the US elected a black president twice gaining the support of a large swath of white America, they still want a separate "culture."They want to resegregate! Everyone does actually.

The largest number of hate groups in the US are black separatists. From J.H. Kunstler on his blogsite entitled "History Lesson:"

But they are unable to go their own way with or without financial support from Whitey. If allowed to "go their own way," and they descend into chaos and murder, like most black cities have, then they complain about "RACISM!!!" They literally can't build up ANYTHING. They only destroy. I'm generalizing but you get my point. There are good and even great black persons in this country; the black "silent majority."

Worse than that, we now have both black AND white "niggers." There is a sizeable minority of young, brainwashed whites who are now so full of shit and ignorance that they should now be classified "white niggers." We saw them at CHAZ. White niggers love black "music" and think that black "culture" and rap "music" are very cool. They WANT to be black! They have no friggin idea!! Delusions, misinformation and falsehoods abound in this country.

From Byran York at the NY Post: "York noted that the DC museum, one of the most successful in the Smithsonian system, gets $33 million in federal funding and has been supported by “the Lilly Endowment, the Oprah Winfrey Foundation, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, American Express, Bank of America, 3M, Boeing, Michael Jordan, Kaiser Permanente, the Rockefeller Foundation, Target, UnitedHealth, Walmart, and many more."

If America Is So Racist, Why All the Race Hoaxes (Perp'd by Blacks)??

If America is so racist, why are there so many race hoaxes? Virtually every time we read about a swastika painted on a door, or a noose hanging from a tree to taunt blacks, it turns out to be either a false alarm or, more frequently, a hoax..

Here are a dozen examples:
No. 1: The Duke lacrosse team (2006): Three white members of the Duke University lacrosse team were falsely accused by Crystal Mangum, a black student at North Carolina Central University, with having raped her. The charges were all fabricated, but the American media and Duke University faculty rushed to judgment and devoted months to smearing the three lacrosse players and Duke University itself as racist.
No. 2: UC San Diego library noose (2010): "Student apologizes for noose in UC San Diego library" (Los Angeles Times). A "minority student" was responsible for placing the noose in the university library. Previously, the Associated Press had reported, "Anger boiled over on the University of California San Diego campus today, where students took over the chancellor's office to protest the hanging of a noose in a campus library."
No. 3: Truck at Oakland's Corporation Yard (2014): "A reported 'noose' tied to the back of a city truck in August, which stirred already simmering racial tensions at Oakland's Corporation Yard, was not an intended act of racial harassment, a city-commissioned report has found" (Mercury News).
No. 4: University of Delaware (2015): "'Nooses' Found Hanging on University of Delaware Campus Were Lanterns" (NBC).

University President Nancy Targett had earlier announced, "We are both saddened and disturbed that this deplorable act has taken place on our campus."
No. 5: The LSU noose (2015): It was widely reported that a noose was sighted at Louisiana State University leading to protests against racism there. It was later reported, "LSU said a picture of what appeared to be a noose hanging from a campus tree Thursday was not what it appeared to be" (WBRZ).
No. 6: University at Albany (2016): "A state appeals court has upheld the University at Albany's expulsion of a woman who along with two friends falsely claimed to be the victim of a racially motivated attack on a CDTA bus in January 2016" (Times-Union). The three black women had attacked a white woman and then claimed they had been racially attacked.
No. 7: Bowling Green State University (2016): "Bowling Green police say student lied about politically driven attack" (ABC).
"The day after the 2016 election, Eleesha Long, a student at Bowling Green State University -- about 90 miles west of Oberlin -- said that she was attacked by white Trump supporters, who threw rocks at her. Police concluded that she had fabricated the story" (City Journal).
No. 8: Dreadlock cutting hoax (2019): "A black student at a Christian school in Virginia who accused three white sixth grade boys of cutting her dreadlocks and calling her ugly now says she was lying about the attack" (NBC).
No. 9: Jussie Smollett (2019): In one of the most notorious hoaxes, actor Jussie Smollett claimed he was attacked by white racists in Chicago on a freezing night. The story was a hoax. The "noose" was a rope his two co-conspirators had purchased for staging the "attack."
No. 10: Oakland's Lake Merritt (2020): After the city of Oakland launched a hate crime investigation regarding a noose hanging from park trees, Victor Anari Sengbe, a black man, tweeted: "It's not a noose, this guy climbed the tree and put up the rope for a swing months ago, folks used it to exercise... ITS NOT A NOOSE."
Nevertheless, Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf then tweeted, "Intentions do not matter. We will not tolerate symbols of hate in our city. The nooses found at Lake Merritt will be investigated as hate crimes."
No. 11: NASCAR (2020): A "noose" was found in the Talladega, Alabama, racetrack garage assigned to black NASCAR driver Bubba Wallace. FBI investigators determined it to be one of several such ropes placed sometime the year before in Talladega garages as door pulls, long before that garage was ever assigned to Wallace. But Wallace continued to maintain it was, in fact, a noose.
No. 12: University of La Verne (2020): "Racist Threats and Attacks that Rattled a California University Campus Were Faked, Police Say" (Newsweek).

There is not enough space in a column to cite all the hoaxes and mistaken charges of racism in recent decades. Interested readers can also look up:

1. a hoax perpetrated by Fynn Arthur, a black student at Goucher College in 2018; 
2. Samantha Wells, a black student activist, who was responsible for a racist threat she left on her own car at St. Olaf College in 2017; 
3. and the hoax perpetrated by three black Oberlin students, Jonathan Aladin, Endia Lawrence and Cecelia Whettstone, who claimed racial profiling at Gibson's Bakery, which, after serving Oberlin for over 100 years, was nearly put out of business by the false claims.

Here's why this is so important. If there were a lot of racism, there would be no need for hoaxes. No Jew in Germany in the 1930s made up an anti-Semitic hoax. No Jewish shop owner ever made up a charge that a Nazi hurled a rock through his store window. The reason? None was needed. Nazi hatred against Jews was real. It didn't have to be faked. To convince people that America is racist, you [black idiots] have to fake it.

The problem is that far too many unqualified students are being admitted to colleges who DON'T BELONG THERE. Inferior students, mostly Black and Latino, are being admitted to various colleges to study trivial or fraudulent degree programs PAID BY GOV'T STUDENT LOANS so that colleges make more money!  It's a giant scam and is STILL ONGOING.

Regarding student loans made to minority students, nearly none of it will be repaid.

US Finally Condemns China's Illegal Territorial Expansion in S.China Sea

Finally, after years of appeasement by Hillary and Obama (they were busy overturning regimes in Libya, Ukraine, Syria and Egypt after berating Bush II for deposing Saddam), the US has finally put it's foot down on the gross violation of international maritime law by China. China has made outrageous and ridiculous claims to the entire South China Sea as "MINE." ("That's Mine" is the unofficial legal basis for property rights in Communist countries. Keep that in mind when you see all of the communists that will occupy Biden's cabinet).

The rest of the world follows the UN law of the sea (UNICLOS acronym for UN Convention on Law of the Sea) which allows each nation the right to exploit waters out to 200 miles for their own exclusive economic use including oil/gas mining, fishing, fish farming, mineral extraction,etc. It is the basis for every offshore oil and gas leasing program for every country in the world including the US.

Every nation with ocean access adheres to this norm except CHINA! They want to militarize the entire South China Sea in a military expansion to dominate and control the entire region; the shipping lanes, all mineral exploration, aircraft fly zones and, of course, Taiwan.

Most recently, China has been building or expanding islands or the rock outcroppings far outside of it's EEC to create military bases complete with sophisticated weapons, radar and personnel. This despite a tribunal in The Hague ruling against these ridiculous claims on the entire S.China Sea in 2016.  Not only are they militarizing the claimed areas, but bullying neighbors who are actively exploring for oil in their own economic zones. They've also been hysterical when Australian, British or American warships traverse international waters in that region.

China has been inflaming the region with their outrageous territorial claims for years.They have even used military force and intimidation in recent years to step on it's regional neighbors. As recently as July 2012, there was a stand-off with China and the Philippines recently regarding the Scarborough Shoals off of the Philippines (see map). Both sides had military vessels in the area and tensions ran high.

China Tries to Seize Active Oil and Gas Leases in Vietnam Waters

In 2014, China declared it's own exploration and production blocks inside of Viet Nam's internationally recognized Economic Exclusion Zone (see the map to the right). They even sent a flotilla of ships and gun boats to disrupt an operating drilling rig in existing leased exploration blocks in Vietnamese waters. It's the true thuggery that you'd expect from Chinese imperialist pigs.


Anti-Chinese riots by Vietnamese erupted all over the country with 21 dead and 100s hospitalized. Unfortunately, a number of Taiwanese people and company's were also attacked as rioters mistook them as mainland Chinese.

From Reuters on May 2014:

"Thousands of Vietnamese set fire to foreign factories and rampaged through industrial zones in Binh Duong and Dong Nai provinces near Ho Chi Minh City on Tuesday, officials said. Protests continued on Wednesday.

Hundreds of Chinese working in the zones have fled, most to neighboring Cambodia and others by air. “Yesterday more than 600 Chinese people from Vietnam crossed at Bavet international checkpoint into Cambodia,” Cambodian National Police spokesman Kirt Chantharith told Reuters. Bavet is on a highway stretching from Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam’s commercial centre, to Cambodia’s capital, Phnom Penh.

At Ho Chi Minh City airport, scores of Chinese were arriving in large groups, queuing to grab tickets or get on the first flights to Malaysia, Cambodia, Taiwan, Singapore and China.

“People don’t feel safe here, so we just want to get out of Vietnam,” said Xu Wen Hong, who works for an iron and steel company and bought a one-way ticket to China. “Even to Thailand and Cambodia. If there are no more tickets to China, they think just leaving Vietnam is enough.

“We’re scared, of course. With all the factories burning, anyone would be scared in this situation.”In Binh Duong province alone, police said 460 companies had reported some damage to their plants, local media reported."

So, finally the US has had enough of this shit. Trump's State Department issued this directive this afternoon:

"The United States champions a free and open Indo-Pacific. Today we are strengthening U.S. policy in a vital, contentious part of that region - the South China Sea. We are making clear: Beijing’s claims to offshore resources across most of the South China Sea are completely unlawful, as is its campaign of bullying to control them.

In the South China Sea, we seek to preserve peace and stability, uphold freedom of the seas in a manner consistent with international law, maintain the unimpeded flow of commerce, and oppose any attempt to use coercion or force to settle disputes. We share these deep and abiding interests with our many allies and partners who have long endorsed a rules-based international order.

These shared interests have come under unprecedented threat from the People’s Republic of China (PRC). Beijing uses intimidation to undermine the sovereign rights of Southeast Asian coastal states in the South China Sea, bully them out of offshore resources, assert unilateral dominion, and replace international law with “might makes right."

Beijing’s approach has been clear for years. In 2010, then-PRC Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi told his ASEAN counterparts that “China is a big country and other countries are small countries and that is just a fact.” The PRC’s predatory world view has no place in the 21st century.

The PRC has no legal grounds to unilaterally impose its will on the region. Beijing has offered no coherent legal basis for its “Nine-Dashed Line” claim in the South China Sea since formally announcing it in 2009. In a unanimous decision on July 12, 2016, an Arbitral Tribunal constituted under the 1982 Law of the Sea Convention – to which the PRC is a state party – rejected the PRC’s maritime claims as having no basis in international law. The Tribunal sided squarely with the Philippines, which brought the arbitration case, on almost all claims.

As the United States has previously stated, and as specifically provided in the Convention, the Arbitral Tribunal’s decision is final and legally binding on both parties. Today we are aligning the U.S. position on the PRC’s maritime claims in the SCS with the Tribunal’s decision. Specifically:

The PRC cannot lawfully assert a maritime claim – including any Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) claims derived from Scarborough Reef and the Spratly Islands – vis-a-vis the Philippines in areas that the Tribunal found to be in the Philippines’ EEZ or on its continental shelf.

Beijing’s harassment of Philippine fisheries and offshore energy development within those areas is unlawful, as are any unilateral PRC actions to exploit those resources. In line with the Tribunal’s legally binding decision, the PRC has no lawful territorial or maritime claim to Mischief Reef or Second Thomas Shoal, both of which fall fully under the Philippines’ sovereign rights and jurisdiction, nor does Beijing have any territorial or maritime claims generated from these features.

As Beijing has failed to put forth a lawful, coherent maritime claim in the South China Sea, the United States rejects any PRC claim to waters beyond a 12-nautical mile territorial sea derived from islands it claims in the Spratly Islands (without prejudice to other states’ sovereignty claims over such islands). As such, the United States rejects any PRC maritime claim in the waters surrounding Vanguard Bank (off Vietnam), Luconia Shoals (off Malaysia), waters in Brunei’s EEZ, and Natuna Besar (off Indonesia). Any PRC action to harass other states’ fishing or hydrocarbon development in these waters – or to carry out such activities unilaterally – is unlawful.

The PRC has no lawful territorial or maritime claim to (or derived from) James Shoal, an entirely submerged feature only 50 nautical miles from Malaysia and some 1,000 nautical miles from China’s coast. James Shoal is often cited in PRC propaganda as the “southernmost territory of China.” International law is clear: An underwater feature like James Shoal cannot be claimed by any state and is incapable of generating maritime zones. James Shoal (roughly 20 meters below the surface) is not and never was PRC territory, nor can Beijing assert any lawful maritime rights from it.

The world will not allow Beijing to treat the South China Sea as its maritime empire. America stands with our Southeast Asian allies and partners in protecting their sovereign rights to offshore resources, consistent with their rights and obligations under international law. We stand with the international community in defense of freedom of the seas and respect for sovereignty and reject any push to impose “might makes right” in the South China Sea or the wider region."

CO2 is a Trace Gas at 0.04% of the Atmosphere

CO2 is 0.04% of the Atmosphere.  That's up from 0.03% from the 1950s. OMG, it's risen 25% in 7 decades!!  The Sky is Falling!

At 0.04%, it's still a trace gas!  How is it going to make the oceans boil like the alarmists want you to believe?

BLS is Under-reporting Unemployment by 15 Million. Unemployment is 20% not 11.1%

"The total number of people who continued to claim unemployment compensation in the week ended July 4 under all state and federal unemployment insurance programs, including gig workers, jumped by 1.41 million people, to 32.92 million according to the Dept of Labor.

But just last week, the Bureau of Labor Statistics came out with a shocker that the number of unemployed people fell by 3.2 million in June, to 17.8 million! (from last week). Of course that sent the all-important stock market to the moon. (I'm joking, I don't even remember)

The difference between those actually receiving unemployment insurance from both State and Local (now 32.9 million people) and the number of people that the BLS claims are unemployed (17.8 million) has today exploded to 15.1 million.

In other words, the BLS has under-reported the number of unemployed by at least 15.1 million people (32.9-17.8=15.1)!  Has government competence completely collapsed or are they just liars??  I think both. 

Since the workforce is about 164 million, 32.9 million unemployed is about 20%.

She's making the mistake of thinking that Blacks are deliberately being "shut out" of the economy (which hasn't been true for 50+ years) and implying some kind of "Systemic Racism." There is no systemic racism-- just a cultural/intellectual incapacity in non-whites. Like so many Africans and their descendants, Somalian Ilhan Omar has been steeped in Marxism as the "solution" to all of society's ills. We see the same thing in Obama and in so many Africans and African Americans.

Obama, AOC, Omar and Talib are creatures of the 3rd world "culture." These countries are 3rd world BECAUSE of  bad ideas of Islam and/or Marxist (leftist) thought (plus their relative incapacity). They will bring the same collapse to the US!  AOC will bring Puerto Rico's collapse to the US. Omar will bring Somalia's collapse to the US! Rashid Talib will bring the total collapse of the Arab/Muslim culture to the US! Obama tried to bring Indonesia/Kenya's collapse to the US. They can't help it! They don't have the intellectual and logical capacity to see this nor understand the reasons for massive success of the USA. They literally don't get it.

Only the unusually intelligent white, Christian, hard-working, self-organizing descendants of Northern Europeans were able to build our great, prosperous, democratic, free, peaceful and happy country until the Democrats began the undoing of all that in 1965.  The Pilgrims who landed on our shores were incredibly brave to journey to a new and unknown land and were able to build something out of nothing, self-organize and create an entirely new society and everything from scratch.

All of the Leftists are now on-board with the Green Socialist Agenda, which is led by the Davos crowd and Globalist actors who intend to undermine Capitalism and the USA itself. It's a political/cultural coup d'etat. These global warming alarmists want to impose draconian, Malthusian and even totalitarian control on everyone and everything in this country. This is in-line with Marxist designs on the US and world. But Marxism has an unblemished and long history of destroying everything where it is adopted. It is like a destructive cancer that can never be eradicated. It can't be eradicated because sociopaths running for office (or seize control) want that total power! And total power kills. Government kills. That's why limited government is (was) so central to the US Constitution and history.

Black (and many brown) people, Muslims and Leftists are particularly destructive to civilization. Their populations all have generally and comparatively weak minds; not sharp enough to see through the false promises and Utopian dreams of those who will wield total power against them. Islam itself is very authoritarian. Power kills. Government kills. Freedom is the only answer. Only the descendants of the Northern Europeans could see this.

But now, in this country, thanks to Leftists in colleges, grade schools, in the fake-news media and in politics, we've lost our ability to see this critical factor. We have allowed for a steady rise of a corrupted, flailing, bloated and failing giant government that is failing at everything, controlled by a military and pharmacological industrial complex, a deep-state who is trying to maintain their un-elected control of the Federal government and overthrow the recent presidential election, massive central planning, a huge surveillance state, an out-of-control central bank and an intentionally out-of-control mass immigration from the crime-ridden Central America.

Because of weak minds from Latin America, the Mideast and Africa, the masses now want someone to take control of their lives. It's an escape from freedom because they can't handle freedom like the founders and original citizens of this nation. Many minorities and an increasing number of spoiled whites now can't handle the demands of truly free life. They're not capable of self-organizing. They want a big government to provide for them. Politicians like Lyndon Johnson and all of his successors were happy to build an even bigger government to fill that demand. But the big government that they wanted is CAUSING cost of living to inflate beyond their reach, CAUSING the economy and incomes to stagnate, CAUSED industries to flee to Asia which diminishes incomes, CAUSING wild income inequality and has CAUSED economic instability!

So, the problem is really about Leftism, ie., culture, values, intellectual achievement along with the relative incapacity of both Blacks and Hispanics relative to whites of European descent. Very few can deal with this truth. Few want to speak this truth aloud because they will be shouted-down as RACISTS!!

In my post Epicenters of Ignorance, Bad Ideas and Destruction, I make the case that each of these groups, ie., Communists/Leftists and Muslims and African populations are the groups that have caused, and are still causing, enormous death and destruction in world history. 

I. Murderous Leftism/Communism

Communist/Leftists have killed some 100 million persons since the year 1900, which is a brutal effect of a movement that was designed by Marx to create a paradise of peaceful equality. Many of the deaths are internment camps,the effects of famine and terror.  The Soviet State and China are the main perpetrators in this total, but hardly the only ones.

From 1918 to 1953, the Communist Soviet government executed, slaughtered, starved, beat or tortured to death, or otherwise killed 39,500,000 of its own people. For China under Mao Tse-tung, the communist government eliminated, as an average figure between estimates, 45,000,000 Chinese. The number killed for just these two nations is about 84,500,000 human beings. From R.J. Rummel's Power Kills  This death toll is more than WWI (9 million dead) and WWII (15 million dead) combined, so the world wars have nothing on the communists in terms of death and mass killings.

II. The Greatest Murder Machine in Human History: Islam

The "religion of peace" Islam is probably the greatest murder machine in human history. It is estimated that 80,000,000 were killed by the conquest of India by Muslims between 1000 AD and 1525 AD.  Stats from Mike Konrad's piece in American Thinker and links provided there.

"A minumum of 28 Million Africans were enslaved in the Muslim Middle East. Since, at least, 80 percent of those captured by Muslim slave traders were calculated to have died before reaching the slave market, it is believed that the African death toll from 1400 years of Arab and Muslim slave raids into Africa could have been as high as 112 Million.

The African victims. The Indian victims. The European victims. Add in the Armenian genocide. Then add in the lesser known, but no doubt quite large number of victims of Eastern Asia. Add in the jihad committed by Muslims against China, which was invaded in 651 AD. Add in the Crimean Khanate predations on the Slavs, especially their women.

Though the numbers are not clear, what is obvious is that Islam is the greatest murder machine in history bar none, possibly exceeding 250 million dead."

Muslims are historically responsible for 10s, up to 100s of millions of deaths, due to their horrible but widespread "Jihad"ideology. They are truly the Medieval Death Cult and STILL ARE.

The killing continues unabated!! For example, since just 2001, there have been about 250,000 murders and another estimated 250,000 wounded from Jihadi attacks alone (a total which excludes war-related deaths). That equates to ~2 million deaths per century--NOT including wars! So, you can imagine how annoying it is to hear ignoramus Obama saying that 99.9% of Muslims are peace-loving. It's not true.

Muslim's ill-treatment of women is well-known, but their belief in mutilating the genitals of young baby girls is less known. In this practice, they are trying to literally eliminate any possibility of women enjoying sex. There as many as 125 million Muslim women living today have had genital mutilation. It is always found in Muslim dominated areas. These are sick people.

Another integral part of their ideology is their belief in "conquering" and dominating the world creating an Islamic Caliphate (of misery). I lived in Jakarta and saw an entire football stadium full of "mainstream" Indonesians celebrating this belief. Islam is a supremacist (and bigoted) ideology.

Hatred of Jews and Christians is part of their religion and has been since it's inception since it's supported by their Qu'ran. Remember that the Mufti of Jerusalem sat at the right hand of Hitler in WWII. And where there is Jew-hatred there is gay-hatred. ISIS threw alleged gay people to their deaths off of tall buildings ignoring any kind of due process or anything else that might be called civilized. You would be correct in saying that Muslims REMAIN the Nazis of our day.

Most of Arab/Muslim regions in the Middle East and North Africa are now in a cultural and political collapse. The Arab/Muslim culture is a disaster of self-imposed ignorance and emphasis on religious education, plus low intelligence, poor education, chronically failed economies and tyrannical/autocratic leaders. It's Islam that's the problem! Muslims TODAY remain full of terrible and ignorant ideas that bring nothing but misery and death to themselves and those around them.

Contrast this to the peaceful, prosperous Israelis--a population primarily from N. Europe. Or compare them to the hard-working white Christians that were able to throw-off the horrors of tyranny of 18th century Europe to create democracy and free capitalism and create the most free, most vibrant and happy civilizations in North America, Australia and New Zealand.

III. Africans and Their Descendants

Much of Africa (and the Middle East) are suffering from one or more of the following: poverty, stagnation, crime, murder, war, strife, decay, disorder, tyranny, misery or starvation. Much of Africa is poorly developed -- often Medieval or even Prehistoric. Africans have made little progress in hundreds of years.  Africa is in total collapse too. It's ruled by a bunch of fools, tyrants, homophobes and evil people. We saw that when Obama invited a bunch of African "leaders" to the White House.  What a horror show!

There are mainly totalitarian and/or insane rulers, kleptocrats, wars, violence, crime, the inability to organize farming or anything else, extreme poverty, droughts, total absence of education. Much of Sub-Saharan Africa has arable land and it usually rains, so they could produce the required food there- provided the rain comes.

This is all very, very sad. The tragedy is apocalyptic.  Black majorities elsewhere in the world are failing and collapsing also -- and none ascending. Every black majority city in the Americas is highly dangerous due to murders, crime, chaos and have poor health, lower life expectancy and widespread poverty. Even a large minority of African Americans aren't able to lift themselves up.  There is little evidence that any majority black community or nation on earth can develop any modern civilization or govern themselves, their communities or their nations.

From SOS-USA.Org Hunger in Africa, some 3.2 million children under the age of 5 die each year in sub-Saharan Africa. That's about one half of the world's deaths in this age group.  One of the worst hunger crises of the past 25 years was the famine in East Africa in 2011/12. In war-torn Somalia, 260,000 people starved to death, including 133,000 children under the age of five.

Some 226.7 million people are starving in Africa. The countries most affected by extreme poverty and hunger in Africa are mainly those located south of the Sahara.  In the sub-Saharan region, 40% to 50% of people live below the poverty line, meaning they have a daily income that is on average below $1.25.

The incapacity of Blacks is just a fact of life that few in the West can accept but it's so incredibly obvious. Africans, especially sub-Saharan's that have the lowest median IQs in the world--ranging from 60s to 80s. (In a way, IQ tests don't even apply here, so take this data with a grain of salt). It may take hundreds or even a thousand years for these people to close the intellectual gap--if ever.

US black populations also have low IQs (80s). In every population, there are a bunch of "nice" people, but "nice" people can be full of very bad ideas especially in the areas of politics and religion. Low IQ populations know nearly nothing, have little logic, suffer from poor impulse control and have average mental ages of adolescents. This can actually be charming except when it results in chaos, crime and war zones as we often see from Africa to Chicago. There are signs of hope. British colonies of Ghana and Nigeria had the benefit of the British educational system that has led to a significant number of Ghanans and Nigerians to get advanced degrees and prosper in America. It's actually amazing. But this brain drain is leaving Nigeria in squalor, poverty and suffering from Islamic jihad. Death and murder is massive in Nigeria. (I don't know about Ghana).

Black Men Are 31 Times More Murderous to Blacks Than Police

OK, Stop the riots! There is no systemic racism in America. It's a lie. Ordinary civilian black men are the biggest enemy of black people by far -- 31 times more dangerous than police.

We live in a time where facts don't matter, but here's more facts/studies to show that Police are NOT racist. The one or two bad apples do not spoil the whole bunch.

There is much more corroborating evidence to support my conclusions in my post Every Year Police Kill Many More Whites Than Blacks from various sources including Obama's Department of Justice, the Washington Post, Manhattan Institute and other sources.

I.   From Obama's DOJ via the DailyWire:

Studies by both the Justice Department under President Obama and the finding of an African-American Harvard economist: 

"A 2015 Justice Department analysis of the Philadelphia Police Department found that white police officers were less likely than black or Hispanic officers to shoot unarmed black suspects. Research by Harvard economist Roland G. Fryer Jr. also found no evidence of racial discrimination in shootings. Any evidence to the contrary fails to take into account crime rates and civilian behavior before and during interactions with police."

II.  From the DailyWire and Heather Mac Donald:

"A solid body of evidence finds no structural bias in the criminal-justice system with regard to arrests, prosecution or sentencing, Mac Donald writes; rather, crime and suspect behavior, not race, determine most police actions. Mac Donald writes:

In 2019 police officers fatally shot 1,004 people, most of whom were armed or otherwise dangerous. African-Americans were about a quarter of those killed by cops last year (235), a ratio that has remained stable since 2015. That share of black victims is less than what the black crime rate would predict, since police shootings are a function of how often officers encounter armed and violent suspects. In 2018, the latest year for which such data have been published, African-Americans made up 53% of known homicide offenders in the U.S. and commit about 60% of robberies, though they are 13% of the population. [Doug here: I said in my post that police interact with blacks about the same frequency as whites because blacks are committing (actually over) half the crimes, even though blacks are only 13% of the population. That was a good, even conservative estimate]

The police fatally shot nine unarmed blacks and 19 unarmed whites in 2019, according to a Washington Post database, down from 38 and 32, respectively, in 2015. The Post defines “unarmed” broadly to include such cases as a suspect in Newark, N.J., who had a loaded handgun in his car during a police chase. [Doug here: again, police are interacting with blacks slightly more than half the time because blacks are committing more than half the total crime, therefore police are less likely to kill unarmed blacks than whites in the most recent year]

In 2018 there were 7,407 total black homicide victims (53% of the total homicides). Assuming a comparable number of victims last year, those nine unarmed black victims of police shootings represent 0.1% of all African-Americans killed in 2019. [Doug here: actual police shootings of blacks in 2018 were 235 from my post.  Therefore, police only killed 3% of the total homicides in '18. Black men did the rest.] 

By contrast, a police officer is 18½ times more likely to be killed by a black male than an unarmed black male is to be killed by a police officer."  [Doug here: nearly all of the 7,407 total black homicide victims were killed by other black men.  Black men are the biggest danger to blacks by far!  31 times as dangerous as police!]

III. Harvard Study Reported by Daily Wire

As The Daily Wire reported a 2016 Harvard study concluded that 1,332 police shootings over the 2000-2015 time frame reveal that blacks are actually 20 percent less likely to be shot at by police than whites, despite the fact that blacks and whites are just as likely to be carrying a weapon.

This is further confirmed by a 2016 study (paywall) conducted by John Jay College of Criminal Justice assistant professor Peter Moskos, who determined that when the homicide rate is adjusted, “whites are 1.7 times more likely than blacks [to] die at the hands of police. Adjusted for the racial disparity at which police are feloniously killed, whites are 1.3 times more likely than blacks to die at the hands of police.”

IV. From the Washington Post:

"The conventional thinking about police-involved shooting, and some scientific research, has been that black suspects are more likely to be shot than white suspects because of an implicit racial bias amont police officers.

A new study has found exactly the opposite: even with white officers who do have racial biases, officers are three times less likely to shoot unarmed black suspects than unarmed white suspects."

V. 'Stop and Frisk' Is Not Racist Either- WSJ and Dailywire

"According to Mac Donald in a Wall Street Journal column (paywall) in 2013, black persons comprised only 55 percent of all of the NYC Police stops in 2012, even though 66 percent of violent criminals in the city are black as well as 78 percent of shooting suspects and 74 percent of shooting victims.   It is true that most stop-and-frisk subjects in New York City are minorities, but that’s because most crime in the city is committed in minority neighborhoods."

From Daily Wire, police are legitimately pulling-over blacks over for traffic violations because they are committing more infractions than whites:

"In New Jersey and North Carolina, found that black drivers speed disproportionately. On the New Jersey turnpike, for example, black drivers studied in 2001 sped at twice the rate of white drivers (with speeding defined as traveling at 15 mph or more above the posted limit) and traveled at the most reckless levels of speed even more disproportionately.”  [Doug here: dumb asses!!]

This is confirmed by a 2013 National Institute for Justice report that determined that three out of four blacks said they were pulled over for a “legitimate reason” and a National Highway Safety Administration report concluding that “blacks simply violated traffic laws at higher rates than whites.”

Additionally, the DoJ report found that blacks were more likely to be searched after a traffic stop than whites, as 11 percent of blacks stopped were searched as opposed to five percent of whites, but as MacDonald points out, blacks tend to have a “higher rate of outstanding warrants,” which explains the discrepancy.

Democrats Prefer to Kill the Economy Than Re-elect Trump.

Remember, killing the economy is the same thing as destroying our nation. Of course, AOC knows nothing about anything, typical of most kids graduating from college. They emerge more stupid than when they went in, especially low intelligence minorities like AOC. 

The US was built on immigration alright but 95% of immigrants came from Northern Europe up until 1965. This is why the US became the most successful social and economic experiment the world has ever seen. The Democraps sabotaged that in 1965 with the the Immigration and Nationality Act which completely overturned and completely reversed that successful legacy and history.  Since then, we have 90% non-white and maybe 10% white immigrants streaming into our country.  I say that to remind people of the non-white destruction of this country thanks to Democraps. You can see it in AOC, who has the adult mental age of about 16 yo., typical of Hispanic persons. That may be unfair. I don't know her intelligence. But Somalians, Guatamalans, Mexicans, Columbians, Puerto Ricans or Saudi Arabians, etc could never have created the USA! Never!  You can see the same non-white end of Americas exceptionalism in "the squad."

I would say repeal the 1965 law, but the damage is already done. America's goose is cooked. Personally, I'll be looking for a different place to live, not torn apart by the nightmare of "diversity"--which is a disaster here and in Europe.

You Can't Get Any More Stupid. Frederick Douglass Statue Vandalized in Rochester

A statue of black anti-slavery activist Frederick Douglass was torn down overnight in Rochester, New York.

Rochester Police are investigating damage done to a statue of Frederick Douglass in Maplewood Park. It happened over the weekend, and police say that the statue was torn off its base, and left about 50 feet from its pedestal. The statue had been placed over the fence to Genesee River gorge and was leaning against the fence,” reports WXXI News

“Police say in addition to the damage at the bottom of the statue, one of the fingers on the left hand of the statue was damaged. Aside from that damage, there was no graffiti on the statue or in the surrounding park. The statue has been removed for repairs.”

Frederick Douglass, Abolitionist

Frederick Douglass was a social reformer who escaped from slavery in Maryland and went on to become a national leader of the abolitionist movement in Massachusetts and New York who was noted for his outstanding speeches and antislavery writings.

We've Already Spent $7+ Trillion on Black 'Reparations' -- It Failed

The 99% idiot "Black Caucus" in the House of Representatives is going to take advantage of our current social chaos to divert (waste) even more money to blacks for "reparations." More "march of the morons" since we'd be paying people who were never slaves by people who never owned slaves!

The reality is that we've already spent at least $7+ Trillions in black "reparations" in the past 56 years and it didn't work.

Lyndon Johnson launched his "war on poverty"in January 1964 in an effort to reduce poverty in this country. He sold it as a temporary support to blacks to give them a leg up.  After $21 Trillion in expenditures and a vastly increased cost of permanent government bureaucracies, it hasn't worked. In fact, it has done much more harm than good.

At least 30% of this $21 Trillion, or $7 Trillion, was spent on the Black population in a very real attempt at "reparations."   (See my post Blacks, Hispanics and Illegals Dominate Welfare Spending.)  It was also the beginning of "free stuff" for blacks to keep them voting for Democrats. There's TANF, Section 8 housing, Food stamps, Medicaid, AFDC, Head Start, hiring quotas, set-asides, sharply lowered standards in police and fire departments. Sharply lowered standards for college and grad school admissions. "Free money" student loans that will never be repaid. We have free breakfasts for black children and even free lunches.

Taken together, US Blacks live in a state of "Custodial Care" by Whites because they can't take care of themselves.

Nothing has worked. Nothing ever will. This money is paid to the most unworthy people in the world -- by the most worthy people in the world.  Until people take responsibility for themselves and their own families and communities, nothing will ever work.

All this because our society cannot admit that black intelligence is too low, they hold too many bad ideas, have little logic and black criminality is far too high to support any kind of higher level of civilization. 

But what's worse is that all this money and it's perverse incentives (to break up marriages) has WORSENED Black life in America since 1964 and we can't admit THAT either!

Since the start of the war on poverty, black kids are NOT doing better in school, housing projects built for ghetto blacks are all slums (a complete lack of personal responsibility), and drug violence, gun violence, incarcerations, STD infections and black abortions remain at epidemic levels.  Black high school completion rates are about the same as ever, ie., ~50%.

Black culture is actually much worse now.  Black culture is in virtual collapse with 72% of black babies born without a father in the house. Compare this to only 25% when the "war on poverty" was started.  I can't think of a single more devastating statistic to describe a cultural collapse than the 72% figure; indicating that the institution of marriage has collapsed.  Single parent families are nearly all in a state of poverty. That's where we are after 56 years of "reparations."

"Reparations" has help cause a complete and utter Black cultural collapse.

The result of the cultural collapse is evident from appalling crime statistics, the fact that 70% of new AIDs cases are black, gonnorhea infection rates are 13 to 18 times the white average, and black men commit 56% of homocides even though they are 6.5% of the population. Blacks commit crime at 6 to 7 times the rate of whites (higher in urban areas) and are incarcerated in that same proportion. Now we have "flash mob robberies" and "knockout assaults" that are overwhelmingly black crimes.

You can throw all the money in the world at social programs for people, but if there is laziness, addictions, bad attitudes and bad decisions, low intelligence and little impulse control, high levels of violence, it will over-ride any and all social programs. Of course the Left never wants to hear about personal responsibility when they are the most irresponsible.  They want to blame our economic system, take more and more of your tax dollars and piss that money away on programs that aren't working.

Black kids will never be hired when they often can't speak right, they often can't dress right, when they often have no self-respect, no discipline and no education. This is the problem today, yesterday and 50 years ago.  No amount of money spent, no government bureaucrat and no bureaucracy can fix this.  Why don't we admit that we've failed?  

Why can't Blacks admit that they are failures?  Instead, you get 100% denial, 100% of the time and a punch in the face.  A little humility would go a long way with me.

Climate Activist Apologizes: "Climate Change Is Happening. It’s Just Not the End of the World"

A climate activist, Michael Schellenberger, MD was a climate warrior but become a climate realist over the years. Now he's speaking out against the climate radicals like AOC who's saying the end world is coming in 12 years  and others who are trying to scare the hell out of you. If you've been following my blog, you've probably seen a number of posts about global warming and suggesting that panic is not warranted.

As a man of science, I've carefully studied the issue and realized that we're not in a crisis, there's been some warming but no panic is necessary. And the relatively slight global warming can't be fixed and won't be fixed because it would destroy the world's finances and world economy. We have no place to inject any captured CO2, most power plants cannot be retrofitted for flue gas scrubbing. Also, the end of the hydrocarbon age is closer than you think (as the Greatest Depression unfolds).

"On behalf of environmentalists everywhere, I would like to formally apologize for the climate scare we created over the last 30 years. Climate change is happening. It’s just not the end of the world. It’s not even our most serious environmental problem. I may seem like a strange person to be saying all of this. I have been a climate activist for 20 years and an environmentalist for 30.

But as an energy expert asked by Congress to provide objective expert testimony, and invited by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) to serve as expert reviewer of its next assessment report, I feel an obligation to apologize for how badly we environmentalists have misled the public.

Here are some facts few people know:

• Humans are not causing a “sixth mass extinction”
• The Amazon is not “the lungs of the world”
• Climate change is not making natural disasters worse
• Fires have declined 25 percent around the world since 2003
• The amount of land we use for meat—humankind’s biggest use of land—has declined by an area nearly as large as Alaska
• The build-up of wood fuel and more houses near forests, not climate change, explain why there are more, and more dangerous, fires in Australia and California
• Carbon emissions are declining in most rich nations and have been declining in Britain, Germany, and France since the mid-1970s
• The Netherlands became rich, not poor while adapting to life below sea level
• We produce 25 percent more food than we need and food surpluses will continue to rise as the world gets hotter
• Habitat loss and the direct killing of wild animals are bigger threats to species than climate change
• Wood fuel is far worse for people and wildlife than fossil fuels
• Preventing future pandemics requires more not less “industrial” agriculture

I know that the above facts will sound like “climate denialism” to many people. But that just shows the power of climate alarmism.

In reality, the above facts come from the best-available scientific studies, including those conducted by or accepted by the IPCC, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), the International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN) and other leading scientific bodies.

Some people will, when they read this, imagine that I’m some right-wing anti-environmentalist. I’m not. At 17, I lived in Nicaragua to show solidarity with the Sandinista socialist revolution. At 23 I raised money for Guatemalan women’s cooperatives. In my early 20s I lived in the semi-Amazon doing research with small farmers fighting land invasions. At 26 I helped expose poor conditions at Nike factories in Asia.

I became an environmentalist at 16 when I threw a fundraiser for Rainforest Action Network. At 27 I helped save the last unprotected ancient redwoods in California. In my 30s I advocated renewables and successfully helped persuade the Obama administration to invest $90 billion into them. Over the last few years I helped save enough nuclear plants from being replaced by fossil fuels to prevent a sharp increase in emissions.

But until last year, I mostly avoided speaking out against the climate scare. Partly that’s because I was embarrassed. After all, I am as guilty of alarmism as any other environmentalist. For years, I referred to climate change as an “existential” threat to human civilization, and called it a “crisis.”

But mostly I was scared. I remained quiet about the climate disinformation campaign because I was afraid of losing friends and funding. The few times I summoned the courage to defend climate science from those who misrepresent it I suffered harsh consequences. And so I mostly stood by and did next to nothing as my fellow environmentalists terrified the public.

I even stood by as people in the White House and many in the news media tried to destroy the reputation and career of an outstanding scientist, good man, and friend of mine, Roger Pielke, Jr., a lifelong progressive Democrat and environmentalist who testified in favor of carbon regulations. Why did they do that? Because his research proves natural disasters aren’t getting worse.

But then, last year, things spiraled out of control.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez said “The world is going to end in 12 years if we don’t address climate change.” Britain’s most high-profile environmental group claimed “Climate Change Kills Children.”

The world’s most influential green journalist, Bill McKibben, called climate change the “greatest challenge humans have ever faced” and said it would “wipe out civilizations.” Mainstream journalists reported, repeatedly, that the Amazon was “the lungs of the world,” and that deforestation was like a nuclear bomb going off.

As a result, half of the people surveyed around the world last year said they thought climate change would make humanity extinct. And in January, one out of five British children told pollsters they were having nightmares about climate change. Whether or not you have children you must see how wrong this is. I admit I may be sensitive because I have a teenage daughter. After we talked about the science she was reassured. But her friends are deeply misinformed and thus, understandably, frightened. I thus decided I had to speak out. I knew that writing a few articles wouldn’t be enough. I needed a book to properly lay out all of the evidence.

And so my formal apology for our fear-mongering comes in the form of my new book, Apocalypse Never: Why Environmental Alarmism Hurts Us All. It is based on two decades of research and three decades of environmental activism. At 400 pages, with 100 of them endnotes, Apocalypse Never covers climate change, deforestation, plastic waste, species extinction, industrialization, meat, nuclear energy, and renewables.

Some highlights from the book:

• Factories and modern farming are the keys to human liberation and environmental progress
• The most important thing for saving the environment is producing more food, particularly meat, on less land
• The most important thing for reducing air pollution and carbon emissions is moving from wood to coal to petroleum to natural gas to uranium
• 100 percent renewables would require increasing the land used for energy from today’s 0.5 percent to 50 percent
• We should want cities, farms, and power plants to have higher, not lower, power densities
• Vegetarianism reduces one’s emissions by less than 4 percent
• Greenpeace didn’t save the whales, switching from whale oil to petroleum and palm oil did
• “Free-range” beef would require 20 times more land and produce 300 percent more emissions
• Greenpeace dogmatism worsened forest fragmentation of the Amazon
• The colonialist approach to gorilla conservation in the Congo produced a backlash that may have resulted in the killing of 250 elephants
