Short Takes #2: Chronicling the Ongoing Collapse of America and the World

It's entirely probable that the US and World are now in the process of a historic collapse -- one that will only be recognized in hindsight in the fullness of time and history. You see, it doesn't feel like it from day-to-day, but from a longer term perspective the events that are associated with the collapse of finance and society are increasing in frequency and severity.  Taken together, collapse is happening. It's entirely possible and probable that much more notable and dramatic events are in store for the future.

This is an ongoing series of posts consisting of "short takes" of notable events that are occurring under our noses that indicate or inform about how our country and world is falling apart. I say this is an ongoing series because events are happening almost daily now. And it's anyone's guess when dramatic events occur so that everyone will be able to see that we're in complete crisis.

 1) Fauci Lied While Millions Died: The Utter Fraudulence of Tony Fauci

Fox News' Tucker Carlson ripped "the utter fraudulence of Tony Fauci" Wednesday night, after BuzzFeed and the Washington Post obtained thousands of pages of emails through a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request, revealing that the nation's top virologist was telling the public one thing, while furiously working on damage control and narrative-shaping as the COVID-19 pandemic unfolded.

According to Carlson, Americans assumed "that the man in charge of protecting the US from COVID must be rational and impressive," adding "We also assumed he must be honest. But we were wrong."

"It soon became clear that Tony Fauci was just another sleazy federal bureaucrat - deeply political and often dishonest. More shocking than that we then learned that Fauci himself was implicated in the very pandemic he'd been charged with fighting."

"Fauci supported the grotesque and dangerous experiments that appeared to have made COVID possible." 

Fauci's emails collectively show that "from the beginning, Tony Fauci was worried that the public might conclude COVID had originated at the Wuhan Institute of Virology."

"Why would he be concerned that Americans would conclude that?" Tucker asked. "Possibly because Tony Fauci knew that he had funded gain-of-function experiments at that very same laboratory."

2) Silence of the Lions by William Lind 

Since the events of January 6, the 70+ million Americans who voted to re-elect President Trump have gone silent.  Judging by the mainstream media, it is as if they ceased to exist.  We do not hear their voices.  In politics, the Democrats serve their “victims” groups and the Republicans carry water for Wall Street, as usual. No one represents or speaks for the 70+ million.

The news is dominated by the travails and demands of just 13% of our population, the blacks...

Berlin just saw a large and violent demonstration against the latest virus-justified shutdown. To understand the German situation, you have to know that when Germany’s short summer arrives, most German life moves outdoors.

The most explosive situation may be that in France.  For decades, ordinary Frenchmen have found themselves pressured by a large, growling, increasingly fanatical and violent Moslem population that, for the most part, rejects acculturation, i.e., becoming French.   

Anyone familiar with French history will not take this lightly.  Civil war is a long-standing French tradition, as are mass uprisings against situations ordinary Frenchmen view as intolerable....

Events in France also have a history of exerting influence throughout the rest of the West.  If the French rise up against Islamic immigrants and the cultural Marxism of the elites that bids the immigrants welcome, what might the spillover effects be in Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, and Sweden, all of which face the same problem?  ....

The left forgets that when you finally push the whites, European or of European descent, too far, they remember they come from great warrior peoples.  Compared to some other ethnic groups, they are hard to arouse.  But once you’ve done it, blood flows in great quantities.  They don’t just kill; they kill in highly organized ways, ways that can dispose of millions.

The lions that are Western peoples are currently led by asses.  The asses think the lion’s silence, enforced by political correctness, means they have been beaten.  But that is not what it means.  It means that, not allowed to vent, the pressure among those populations is building.  If they blow, it’s not going to be pretty.  Should that happen first in France, don’t be surprised.

3)  World Economic Stagnation is Causing Unrest and the Shift to Socialism, Marxism, Statism

Economic stagnation brings calls for Marxism, Socialism and ever more government (which only causes further stagnation). From Jeff Snider on Realclearmarkets.com:

Essentially high growth equals political stability, the kind which further contributes to high growth.

On the flipside, any economy sure can find itself growing but not nearly enough; history providing ample examples. When its rate of change is and remains too low, the torches get lit and pitchforks find their way out of the backcountry barnyards; imperceptibly at first, then increasingly in more detectable even obvious fashion.

I discuss why we're in a long period of economic stagnation in many of my posts: in part because of unaffordable energy supplies, government interventionism and poor demographics across the globe --- which together causes a rising debt problem, which in turn adds to the stagnation problem. But let's be clear that we are suffering a death of 1000 cuts, but debt is the ultimate probable cause of acute collapse. 

4) What if the "Big Lie" IS the Big Lie?  By James Howard Kunstler

Maybe now that Dr. Tony Fauci has begun to spill the beans on his doings in service to the Wuhan virology lab..

Dr. Fauci would be cooked. He looks circumstantially like an epic villain of history, who promoted and funded dangerous research activities knowingly, which led to an international disaster that killed millions of people and destroyed countless livelihoods and households, perhaps even the whole global economy, when all is said and done — and he appears to have lied at every step along the way.

....Dr. Fauci has come to represent not just the falsehoods employed around the Covid-19 fiasco but more generally the long campaign against truth itself by a grossly illiberal Jacobin Democratic Party seemingly out to punish and destroy Western Civilization.

The downfall of Dr. Fauci is a watershed moment. There were so many more authorities caught lying over the past five years, but who got off scot-free — Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, James Comey (actually, the whole FBI and DOJ E-suites), John Brennan, James Clapper, Robert Mueller, Andrew Weissman, Adam Schiff, and the editors and producers of the news media, plus the execs of social media — who not only disabled the truth at every opportunity, but just about destroyed the public’s grip on reality.

The result has been an utter collapse of authority in this land, so that now nobody who runs anything is credible, from the current pitiful president of the USA, to most elected and appointed officials, judges, corporate CEOs, college deans and presidents, and now “The Science” itself. Just remember: there is still a sizable faction in America of people who are deeply interested in ascertaining the truth about a lot of things. They are aiming to get at it, too, for example, the truth about the 2020 election. Maybe now you can begin to see why this is important.

 5) Demonization of White Americans Now California State Official Policy by Paul Craig Roberts

California mandates that all public and charter high schools teach “critical race theory” which defines all white people as racists and people of color as their victims.  The purpose is to deracinate white students, infuse them with guilt, and base advancement on victim status in place of merit. As whites comprise merely 30% of California’s population, they are an easy mark for second class citizenship. See this post at Epoch Times.  

California public response was greatly opposed to the critical race theory mandate, but the far left ideologues running the educational system ignored the public, proving once again that government policy is divorced from the people’s wishes.

In many states, especially blue ones, critical race theory, if not a state mandate, is mandated by many local school systems. Whites are everywhere being turned against themselves.

White Americans are too insouciant apathetic to know what is happening to them.  Anti-white ideologues have control of school systems, universities, Hollywood, social media, print and TV media, corporations, book publishing, and the US military and are using these powerful institutions to demonize white Americans even more completely than Jews were demonized in the Third Reich.  White Americans are being moved aside out of power positions, out of the 1st and 14th Amendments, and out of self- confidence.   

They have sat sucking their thumbs while a handful of far left ideologues stole their country.
