Democrats Enjoy a Huge Electoral Advantage From Single Women

From Democrats and Republicans aren’t divided by gender, they’re divided by marriage at Washington Examiner:

What would it look like if a major publication decided to produce a feature on masculinity but then assigned all the articles to women? Well, it would look a lot like Politico’s The Masculinity Issue, which did exactly that.

Politico’s aversion to asking men to write about masculinity aside, one theme throughout the feature was that, in Katelynn Fossett’s words, over the last few decades, “women are voting for Democrats more, and men are usually sticking with Republicans.”

And when you look at just the top-line numbers, that appears to be true. In 2022 House races, men nationally favored the GOP by 14 points (56% Republican to 42% Democrat), while women favored Democrats by 8 points (53% Democrat to 45% Republican).

But drill a little deeper, and the picture becomes a little more complicated.

Adding marital status to the mix, the GOP advantage among married men shoots up to 20 points (59% Republican to 39% Democrat) and shrinks among unmarried men to just 7 points (52% Republican to 45% Democrat).

But what most people don’t know, including everyone who works at Politico apparently, is that among married women, Republicans still maintain a sizable 14-point advantage (56% Republican to 42% Democrat).

But if Republicans are winning married men by 20 points, married women by 14 points, and unmarried men by 7 points, then who is keeping Democrats competitive?

It is single women are single-handedly saving the Democratic Party. By a 37-point margin (68% to 31%), single women overwhelmingly pulled the lever for Democrats. [Doug here: I presume that Many/most of these single women are black women in inner cities, where there are nearly no fathers around. Despite destroying black families, Dems continue to reliably get ~90% of the Black Vote. This is why Democrats now identify as Black; Kente Cloth and all.]

I wonder if the Democrats running a titanic political and media machine designed to keep single women in a constant state of anxiety, despair, and outrage might have something to do with that.

Years ago, I described the Left's gender-politics agenda as the "War on Wives." They constantly fulminate with hatred for men, but their real target has always been married women. Radical feminism, and then trans fascism, are devoted to keeping young women from getting married.

Much of their rhetoric is stridently anti-male, but their real goal was to manufacture unmarried women who look to the State for protection.

We've known for a very long time that the recipe for social stability, healthy population growth, and confident, independent citizens involves young people getting married and staying together. We've known this for CENTURIES.

The Left callously reverse-engineered that formula to produce the recipe for a timid, hapless, government-dependent society. They knew exactly what they were doing when they programmed generations of young women to hate and fear men and marriage.

Now they're brainwashing a generation of girls to hate womanhood itself. The new strategy is, quite literally, to destroy the very concept of women - as we memorably saw during the disgraceful KBJ confirmation farce, to make "woman" a word that no one can define.

The final offensive in the War on Wives is to obliterate womanhood, because the Left discovered that even after tidal waves of propaganda against men and marriage, too many young girls were still interested in becoming wives.

The consequences of illegitimacy are too easy for women to see, even after decades of brainwashing. A glance at any Democrat-run inner city is all it takes. It's too obvious that getting married is the key to building generational wealth.

So the final assault involves "gender confusion," a monstrous psychological operation carried out by Democrat media and Democrat-controlled educators, an all-out barrage of propaganda to destroy "wife" by obliterating the concept of "woman."

The political prize is clearly outlined by polls like this: when they enjoy a 37% advantage for Dems among single women, almost the only demographic edge that lets the Dems exist as a national party at all. Of COURSE they want to manufacture more of their only reliable voters.

Look at it this way: the Left is fighting to define masculinity as "toxic" and womanhood as nonexistent. The true target of their heaviest artillery is not the idea they want to damage, but the idea they want to destroy. /end
